Flower in the rain

“Let’s have a soak in the hot tub,” he murmured, kissing the back of my neck softly. “You are not getting anywhere staring at your monitor like that.”

Howard was right. I was just staring at my list of 52 possible names for the workshop we are doing in two weeks and getting nowhere fast.  It would be a workshop based on “A Course in Miracles” (ACIM)  – about love, about miracles, about joy. My initial enthusiasm had sputtered away as I was searching for just the right name.

Ever notice how when you are in the middle of wrestling with a problem, you can’t seem to figure it out and then a little later, when you relax or take a shower or meditate, the answer just pops into your head? That’s what I was hoping for. “Yes, let’s soak in the tub.”

“Our current workshop title “Return to Love” is too similar to Marianne Williamson’s great book title “A Return to Love.” I said.

“I like it,” Howard retorted. “but you’ve got to let go of having our name be unique because all the best lines have already been used.”

“No! I’ve asked spirit for help and the answer’s been given. I just need to let it in whatever it is.”

I relaxed into his arms in the warm water and we circled around onto other topics. Soon we were laughing about how life presents situations to us which tie us in knots and how we always manage to rise above them.

Then feeling a little livelier, we bandied about movie titles for inspiration to name our workshop.  “Return of the Beloved”  Or “The Kingdom strikes back” OR “Return to Love – A New Hope” OR …

Suddenly Howard asked, “How about “Return to Love Reloaded?”

I burst out laughing as I imagined us joining forces to free the minds of those still trapped in “the matrix,” I mean “the illusion.”  Hmmmm, many ways one could interpret that title. Reloaded also means to fill back up. I like the sound of that. Let’s fill back up with Love!

“That’s unique enough,” I said. “That’s our title.” Then I leapt out of the hot tub to capture my thoughts on the page.

And so “Return to Love Reloaded” was named. A workshop based on the spiritual teachings of A Course in Miracles coming up in two weeks: Saturday June 25 to June 26, 2011.
