Feelings are your Guidance from Source
Have you ever noticed that when you walk into a room you can sense the energy; you can tell if the room’s occupants have been fighting, even though everything is now seemingly peaceful? Similarly, you can sense peacefulness in a nurturing atmosphere, like when you step into your favorite spa.
We are Energy. Energy vibrates.
How is this possible? It’s a fact that we live in a world of energy – everything we perceive and everything we cannot perceive is actually energy that is vibrating at different rates. We have physical sensors that interpret these different vibrations. Our ears interpret sound vibration so that we can hear sounds, and our eyes interpret light vibration so that we can see. This is relatively common knowledge, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that living beings, like ourselves, are also formed of energy – energy that is vibrating at different rates. And our most important vibrational indicator is our feelings because our feelings indicate how aligned we are with the vibration of Source energy.
Our Thoughts have Energy
Not only is our physical body vibrating, but our personality self is also vibrating. Every thought we think, every story we tell ourselves, generates feelings that have a certain vibration. Thoughts that make us feel good have high vibrations while thoughts that make us feel unhappy or gloomy have low vibrations. I’m sure you’ve noticed the difference between how you feel when you tell someone you love them and how you feel when you complain about something.
Source Energy
Our feelings are the indicator of how high or low our energy is vibrating. More importantly, our feelings indicate how aligned we are with the vibration of Source. Just as each wave on the ocean is a unique extension of the ocean, so too are we each a unique extension of the Source energy that flows through us. We are like the wave – our personality self – and we are like the ocean – our spirit or Source Self. Source is pure, positive energy that vibrates at the highest frequency and is the spiritual aspect of our nature. Our spiritual nature is vast and powerful, like the ocean; the ocean of our spirit is our true nature and where we always long to return to. Our feelings, moment by moment, reveal the vibrational variance between our personality self (how we are expressing ourselves in the moment) and our spiritual Self. Source is the ocean where our greatness lives. It’s Who we really are. It’s where our power comes from.
Our Emotional Guidance System
When we feel negative emotions like anger, blame or depression, we are not lined up with our Source energy – we are like tiny waves barely making a splash, we are not expressing the fullness of the ocean and we are moving away from what we really want, which is to feel good, to feel joy, to laugh, to love, and to lead fulfilling lives. When we feel positive emotions like enthusiasm, joy and passion we are in sync with our Source energy and, since the great ocean of Source provides everything that we really want, when we feel positive we are also moving towards everything we want.
Feelings are a wondrous guidance system and it’s important to feel and love all your emotions, positive or negative. Be gentle with yourself. If you feel disappointed or fearful it’s important to simply acknowledge what you are feeling – even to compliment yourself for noticing how you are feeling. Say to yourself, “Here I am, feeling so bad/sad/mad. Good for me for noticing.” Remember, feelings come and go; they are temporary. In the moment that you accept your feelings for what they are and yourself for feeling as you do, your vibration rises, your mood lifts, and suddenly you will discover that you are able to call upon other thoughts that make you feel better. The terms positive and negative emotions are not value statements, they are just words we use to describe how an emotion feels and that serve as an indicator of how close or how far away we are from Who we really are and where we want to be.
Following Your Feelings
The key to noticing when you are moving away from where you want to be (aligned with Source) is to check in with yourself often and notice what you are feeling. Ask yourself, “How am I feeling right now?” If you notice that you are not feeling good, reach for a thought that feels a little better than the one you are currently feeding yourself. Or focus on something else, something that makes you feel better. Maybe getting outside in the sunshine or stretching your body would help. Ask yourself, “What would make me feel a little better right now?” To be aware of how you are feeling is to be tuned in to your inner guidance.
Your inner guidance is a powerful and practical guidance system that will, if you allow it, guide you up the path to joy and well-being. Your guidance system comes complete with sensors to guide you towards those things that will move you towards joy and well-being and away from those that won’t. This guidance system communicates to you through your feelings. The better you feel – the happier, the more joyful, and the more peaceful you will feel – and the closer you will be to receiving everything that you want. The key is to always look for a way to feel better, despite and in spite of conditions. If you really want to be on the path to joy and well-being, then choose Joy First. Tapping into your Source energy guarantees you a joyous journey to anywhere you want to go.
