“Let’s have a soak in the hot tub,” he murmured, kissing the back of my neck softly. “You are not getting anywhere staring at your monitor like that.”
Howard was right. I was just staring at my list of 52 possible names for the workshop we are doing in two weeks and getting nowhere fast. It would be a workshop based on “A Course in Miracles” (ACIM) – about love, about miracles, about joy. My initial enthusiasm had sputtered away as I was continue reading “Return to Love… Reloaded”
In the last seven weeks, I have been clearing my space, decluttering, organizing, completing projects, sorting, simplifying and beautifying my surroundings.
The impetus for this was a coaching course I’m taking from Coachville which started on April 12. The course is called “World Power Method” and I’m loving it. The objective is to redesign my environments so that they pull me forward into my most joyful fulfilling life. And of course for me, the process must be enjoyable too. After all, continue reading “Spring Clean Your Life”
“Bludgeoned by optimism?!” Me – a “vibrational maniac?” The man doth protest too much methinks.
In the previous post, Howard dares to challenge me in “The Day She Lost All Touch With Reality.” I recommend you read that first. Then my explanation of the true reality will make more sense.
“The power set in you … is so far beyond your little conception of the infinite that you have no idea how great the strength that goes with you.” ~ A Course In Miracles
If I’m so powerful, how come my power steering wasn’t working?, I whined to myself as I dragged my butt back to the chair in front of the computer. Another email, another 10 tasks, I sighed.
Then it occurred to me. continue reading “How I Fixed My Power Steering”
It all began two weeks ago. I drove home from bringing the kids to school and the power steering failed in our, once faithful, Camry.
“Oh, S***!” I said. I was thinking much worse: This could be expensive. The car reverted to brute force steering. I could manage it, but it was more dangerous as it induced a hearty grunt to crank the car around a normal corner. continue reading “The Day She Lost All Touch with Reality”
“It can’t work. It just can’t work. There’s no way.” Sarah looked deflated as she described the reasons why she could not move into her dream home.
“Why? You were so excited before.” I was curious about what had changed.
“I just love this community and my furniture would fit perfectly into this space, but it can’t work. I still have four years left on my mortgage and will have to pay a big penalty to end it. I’m working full time and studying in the evenings and I’ve visiting my mother in Florida in two weeks.”
With each consideration, she slumped further in the chair. Her voice got quieter and her shoulders sagged. It was like watching the air seep out of the hot air balloon as the fire died out.
“It’s a great opportunity,” she sighed, “but I can’t afford it and I just don’t have the time.”
I leaned closer to Sarah. I wanted to remind her about law of attraction. “Sarah you are telling me what you don’t want. What is it that you DO want?” continue reading “Fastest Sale Ever”
Sometimes, my brilliant ideas look pretty stupid when I am facing the mess of it.
My latest one was yesterday as I was avoiding any writing. In fact, I was completely discouraged and ready to give up on the whole book. There’s no new inspiration here. It’s all old stuff that I’m not even interested in. I was staring at a blank screen.
Then Ben came in to my room suggesting “Hey, can we go in the hot tub now?”
I was eager for anything to divert me from what I not doing. “Yeah, let’s go in now.”
We made a very quick dash outside, to get to the tub enclosure in our bathing suits. “Boy, that’s cold. I think it’s almost freezing.” After the sharp cold, the heat of the water felt great. We were both starting to relax and enjoy the heat.
I was reflecting on how some contrast is nice. After cold, heat was wonderful. After busyness, some relaxation is heavenly. Such contrast must have inspired my stupid, brilliant idea.
“Ben, I dare you to go jump in the creek.” I didn’t really expect he would do this, but I thought it would be fun to prod him. It was a frosty, swampy sixty yards to the creek, and it became even frostier and swampier as I looked at it. It was filled with muck and occasional brambles. Then the fun really ramps up with a bank of pure mud, before landing in a frigid stream of about 2 to 3 feet deep. continue reading “Unstuck From the Muck”
One of my favorite New Year activities is to create a vision poster for the coming year. A vision board (also called a treasure map or dream or goal board) is a collection of images and words designed to represent what a person wants to be, do or have in her/his life.
Why Create a Vision Poster?
Because it’s fun. And by focusing your attention on and getting excited about what you really want, you are in the process of drawing it to you by law of attraction. continue reading “How to Create a Vision Poster”
Everything you want is yours for the asking.
