Michele Howe Clarke
Inspiring Speaker Series:
Miriam Evers Interviews Michele Howe Clarke
Michele Howe Clarke thought she had the perfect life – perfect marriage, perfect 6 month old daughter, perfect house, perfect car, perfect job, perfect vacations, perfect real estate – and then tragedy struck. Michele was diagnosed with aggressive head and neck cancer. It would be so disfiguring that her own doctor said he would understand if she chose death over having to live with a paralysed face.
That was 8 1/2 years ago. Michele would endure radiation with her face trapped in a mask bolted to a table so she could not move. She lived through what most of us could barely imagine. Somehow Michele found the strength inside to take control of her mind. She became infused with incredible determination to create her best life, no matter what. And when she changed the way she looked at her world, her world changed and she began to fly.
As she says, “there came a time when I stopped trying to be beautiful and became deliberately attractive.”
In my interview with Michele she shares her inspiring journey to triumph, her work as a change agent empowering women, and her best-selling book “Face Forward and Thrive.” Michele shares her tips for facing forward and discusses the powerful questions that will help your mind help you find what you are looking for.
Michele’s mission is to turn on everyone’s light. Her bold promise: “I’m a change agent and I will turn you on.”

Self-Esteem Doesn’t Come in a Bottle

Kelly Falardeau
Inspiring Speaker Series:
Miriam Evers Interviews Kelly Falardeau
They called her the “ugly scarface girl.” Kelly Falardeau was burned in an accident at the age of two. 75% of her body was severely burned and she nearly died. Her body is covered in scars. Growing up scarred in a society that worships outer beauty was tough.
Instead of shrinking away, Kelly used her scars as stepping stones to greatness. At the age of 21, Kelly became the President of the Alberta Burn Rehabilitation Society. She married and had 4 children. She’s been a model and won the people’s choice award in the Every Woman Competition. Her irrepressible spirit of joy and her insatiable drive led to her success as an international keynote speaker. Kelly is the author of two books including “No Risk, No Reward” and “Self-Esteem Doesn’t Come in a Bottle.” In 2010 she was voted Fierce Woman of the Year.
In my interview with Kelly, she shares her inspiring story about how she turned her life around and even went after her dream of being a beauty queen. She also shares her ultimate secret to self-esteem.
Self-esteem doesn’t come in a bottle of booze, a bottle of pills or a bottle of make-up. It’s an inside job. So how do you find a way to feel great when you feel like crap?
Kelly Falardeau has some answers for us.

My 30 Intentions for Today
Recently I’ve been practising a new process for feeling great and flowing with ease and joy throughout my day.
In the morning I take a piece of paper with 30 lines and quickly write out my intentions / affirmations for the day. It takes me less than ten minutes to fill the page and the list changes from day to day. continue reading “My 30 Intentions for Today”

RE: Your Birthday
At first I was puzzled. Emails from friends were pouring into my inbox with the subject line “RE: Your Birthday.” The first email was a yahoo autoresponse with details of how my friend could be reached and a warning not to send jokes or chain letters.
The second email asked, “Did you send this?”
My puzzlement turned to embarrassment and guilt when I realized what I had done. continue reading “RE: Your Birthday”

Farewell Jerry Hicks!
I was deeply touched and inspired by an email I received from Esther Hicks today announcing that her beloved husband Jerry had passed away last Friday, November 18, 2011.
Jerry and Esther Hicks are the couple that brought the teachings of Abraham to the world. They helped me understand the astonishing power of my feelings, how the law of attraction really works, and how to create a most delicious life from joy.
Abraham’s uplifting perspective on death was a great comfort to me when my Mom passed away a year ago. continue reading “Farewell Jerry Hicks”
Thousands Have an Inner Urge-But Don’t Follow It
Too often, the urgings of our heart are denied. We allow our loving impulses to be squashed by doubt and indecision, but if you will follow what feels right in your heart you will discover miracles. This is a true story of such miracles.
Sarah had met Nancy three years earlier when their children were in the same class. The women enjoyed each other’s company as they volunteered for carnival and other school projects together. For a couple of years, when their children’s paths diverged, Sarah and Nancy lost touch, so Sarah was thrilled when she found out continue reading “Thousands Have an Inner Urge – But Don’t Follow It”

Powerful Question to Raise Your Mood
It was a rainy fall day and my neighbor had just given me two free admission tickets to Minter Gardens. After a busy weekend of cleaning house, cooking turkey and celebrating Thanksgiving, a stroll through a beautiful nature park would be a refreshing time-out. My husband, Howard, was continue reading “Powerful Question to Raise Your Mood”
